Pedigree information on a FLOWER? WTF? You mean people actually want to know the history behind the flower, who grew it last, what cutting/seed pod it came from? On a FLOWER? You've got to be *$%^^ing me????

no for flowers (take roses) they want to maintian heartiage lines, avoid week breeding, poor flower color, shape, size, smell....

no diffrent than animals for many flowers.

Wow. I learned something today. Thanks for setting me straight. Still though, next time I buy some flowers, I'm gonna impress the lady at the nursery (or piss her off) by telling her I want to see a pedigree!

How about dandilions,,,I got some real big healthy looking ones,,man if them is thoughobreds,I might be able to upgrade to a yanmar tractor from my chinese one!!,,,wait maybe thats the other way around,,well in any case maybe I'll have enough to get back on unemployement,,,thingy

Breeding new varieties of flowers is a very competitive business, and the "award-winners" carry a premium price, just as you pay for puppies from "show dogs" or something similar...

Those peonies in my yard have probably been there for 50 years or more I would bet,,,course they may have been thoughobreds back than,,,pretty common now,,,I always kinda looked at them like a poor mans rose,,,,[maybe them roses is a poor mans peonie after all I heard here though],,yep,,always new I had class,,,thingy
