Just conjecture on my part.....didn't have to be hydro trans.
It could have been a gear drive tractor, using his 3PH trailer ball on his boat trailer. He backs up, raises ball into coupler, tractor placed in Neutral, dismounts from tractor to secures chains and clamps trailer coupler closed.
Now the stage is set for disaster.
Decides to raise the trailer by using his 3PH lever, while standing nearby, NOT seated back on tractor.
As soon as he raises the boat trailer off of it's jackstand....the entire rig rolls forward (or backward), no way to stop it.
