Name that Plow

Does anyone have any ideas on the manufacturer of this single bottom? It's a Craig's List special with not many details available. I don't know much about plows. Is that point/tip detachable or is the whole thing one piece? I think he said it was recently painted black, not sure of the original color.

I'm thinking that its a "Franken-plow"...someone has taken parts from a number of different makes/types and put it together. What makes me think that is that the point in your picture is definitely an IH "Plow Chief" point. To my knowledge they were never used on a 3-pt set up. They were found on C-20 Fasthitch plows (I have two of these) and the pull behind type IH plows. That point is all but worn out as well...you probably should pass on it...BobG in VA
