Napa Fan Belt for 1500D?

Does anyone have a cross reference number for a napa fan belt for my 1500D? Mine broke while tilling the garden and caused the tractor to boil over. I think I got it shut down in time to prevent any damage but now I need a new belt.

I know I can order one from Hoye, but I don't want to wait on the shipping if I can just get one today and get back to tilling.

I've tried searching all the yanmar boards and keep coming up blank.

Whats the american tractor, come on guys help me. Is it 180? Have napa look up the american yanmars, it will probly be the size under the ym240. The list the american tractors.

I don't think the 2tr15 engine is used in any of the American sold models. :thumbsup: However, I think the number may be an A32 or Nappa 25-7325. No warranties implied here.

I just had to replace my FM Belt which I used NAPA also. All I did was used a piece string ran it around the pulley's and then measured it. It was like 118" :laughing: and your Alt. belt won't be anything near that but when I put it on it fit Perfect. Better than the one JD. sent me for that matter and didn't last for Cheaper also Half the Price. Just make sure to loosen the Alt. "almost" all the way to it shortest point so your have alot of the Adj. to work with. and take a piece or measure the width of the Old one. They're Have it :thumbsup:

I am measuring about 32.5 inches with the string method. I looked up the 25-7325 on the napa website and it says it is 33.08 inches. I guess I will head on over to napa with the old belt and see what they can come up with.

Oh, if you have all the old belt than your set. They will measure it, belts just go by thickness and then length ov V belts. I think there is only like 3 sizes that are common and its the smaller one. They can even hold it togeather and use the belt measurer as well, i use to do it all the time when i worked at a parts place.

Happy to report I am back up and running. The 25-7325 was the closest thing napa had to match the broken belt. It went on without any trouble. The only thing I don't like is after tightening it up I don't have much room left to tighten once the belt breaks in.

I think I will go ahead and pick up a spare next time I need something from Hoye or LMTC just to have the correct one for the tractor on hand.

I had the same problem with a new belt. Once the belt seats in you wount have any more adjustment. I went to a bearing distributor & got an industrial belt 1in shorter. It worked with plenty of adjustment left.

Not trying to start anything with hoye, but their belts are 1 inch too long. Just pick up a belt 1 inch shorter than the one you have now.

You are correct - I bought one from Hoye in 2004 and finally had to use it today (2023!) - it is an A32 and its still loose at the maximum adjustment. Bought an A31 at Tractor Supply and it's ok but not much future adjustment left as mentioned above.
