National Ag Day was yesterday March 25. There was a lot of promotion in a lot places so I don't how you guys missed it.
I saw some great statistics on US Agriculture it surprised me being most folks think of farming as something from days gone by...
and that Agriculture is still overall the nations largest employer supporting 23million jobs in direct and associated capacities. That entails 17% of the domestic work force
USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack suggested a celebration of diversity. "Today and every day, we celebrate the extraordinary diversity and productivity of American agriculture," he said in a released statement. "Farms and ranches of all forms and all sizes contribute to the safe, healthy, affordable food supply we enjoy in the United States."
