Natural gas?

We are planning on 36" doorways and a roll in shower in the master bath. This way it won't cost much to handicap the bathroom and shower if needed later on.

Speaking from recent experience and modifications needed for my late wife, that is a very wise decision.

Rent here is free as long as you buy X amount of product.

Thanks to the PSA by those that have been skewered on this list, one would do well to read the fine print very carefully to see if this "free" tank includes:

1. Prohibition to purchase propane from any other dealer (welcome to the captive market!)
2. Excessive charges to get out of the "free" tank deal, perhaps including fees that exceed the purchase price of buying your own tank!

Thanks to those that shared their experiences with crooked dealers - you've likely prevented some from falling into the same trap.

I did not say it came without a captive supply. I have changed often. Still have other companies tanks sitting in a field and when they send me a rental bill I send them a storage bill. It's an impasse.... until they come get them. I switch to keep the same driver that does a good job and is not a moron.

Plus it can take too long to do when needed.

The last 4 of my elderly friends that passed away at home all had in progress bathroom remodels to make wheelchair accessible showers, etc…

Only one lived long enough to actually use it for a couple of weeks… true it happened under pandemic rules when it was just about impossible to get things done and also at significant expense.

My statement was a suggestion that it would be smart for any newbies considering accepting one of these "free" tanks to read the fine print.

This suggestion was based on posts from several users on this form (not you) where renting tanks turned out to be a very bad deal.

Sorry if it sounded like I was suggesting that you might have gotten a bad deal. I wasn't aware that you were even a LPG user.

Sorry for the confusion as well. Yes you have to know your rights, getting them out can be a pain but having then replaced by another company is easier. Once you have them replaced they will try to bill for rental but never want to come get their tank.
As long as I do not sell or intentionally destroy it they can only come get it...... from the back forty now. Might have to pay me to extract it from the blackberries.
