- 3550 Fard Backhoe and a 1948 Farmall Cub,
I had an offer on a junk pile from my wifes family. My wifes grandmother passed away and my wife inherited around 10 acres but her uncle has rights to live there till he dies even though he wont live there. My wife cant touch it. The other thing was m wifes mother had rights to all the extra junk in the will and had to have it cleared for the uncle. I got a cal lfrom my wife saying her mother would pay me to come clean out the junk her grandfather had accumulated. My wifes granfather retired from AMC and bought antiques as his hobby.
I went and looked at the jun,k and said no charge on the cleaning. I got a whole 16 foot trailer stacked 2 feet deep in goodies. I counted 7 Black hawk corn shllers, an old flywheel coffee grinder, wooden well pulleys, scthes, hay knives, cotton scales, tones of things even an aluminum miners lunch bucket. While I was over there they had a yardsale and had a garbage can set up. In it was a Pair of knives.
One was a Multi knife a BOulder Colorado. Its got a carbon blade that with a saftey latch can be released and a carbon hatchet head can be inserted into the handle. The other knife was a mystery. It was a black handled foldingknife, reallylarge. It was stamped Case XX. I carried it to a hardware store that has a Case dealer in it. The lady called me back and told me it was a WW2 Pacific theater Airmanssurvival machete. I thought it was neat as I like WW2 relics. And the other garbage can find was a Columbian Model E 1000 shot BB gun. Patened Dec 21 1909.
I couldnt belive they were gonna scrap all this stuff.
