Has anyone ever experienced neck pain from looking over their shoulder while working on their tractor with 3-point attachments? I have experienced this several times. The most recent was Monday after using my tractor all afternoon Sunday. I was fine when I first got up Monday morning and now I am experiencing dizziness 2 days in a row. I have a swivel seat, but rarely ever use it. Thinking I will just do a little and quit.

Have any of you ever had this problem?

Good grief...yes, every time I pull an implement. I installed mirrors for the hay baler and that helped a ton. I also bought a grader vs box blade since the BB requires much "attention" and the grader is a "set it and pull it" implement.

Yes. That was one of the reasons we bought a Power Trac. All of the attachments are out front. No 3pt hitch.

At first I though you were going to talk about my in-laws.

I installed a rear view mirror on my tractor as well and it helps with operating, but not with the in-laws.

I had mirrors in my cabbed tractor, that does make a nice difference. Don't know where I'd mount one on the little tractor I have now though, but not a big deal since my acreage is so dinky now.

A video camera might help. Maybe turn right the first time you look, then left the next time. Rinse and repeat. You could confirm the problem is real by running a three point snow blower. Good luck. You really do need to come up with a real solution.

One of the many reasons I love a cab, I monitor my equipment and even use them backing my pull type and 3PH bush hogs up.

Yes. Having a bad neck does not help the situation either.

It is easier for me to look over my right shoulder, I think because the 3PH lever is on the right, but I try to look over the left shoulder as much as I can to give the right muscles a break. Sorta kinda helps. A bit. Some. :D

Yes. And I've tried becoming ambidextrous :D, looking over my left shoulder for a while, which certainly makes my neck feel better, but I can't seem to get the hang of operating the tractor over that shoulder.

I also recently installed crown molding in my sister's house, & looking up at the ceiling the whole time also made my neck hurt  After she caulked & painted it I went by to see the final product, looked up & there was that familiar neck discomfort again :(

I had a Cervical Fusion (4,5 and 6 vertebrae) twenty years ago. Depending on what I'm doing two hours seat time is max if I have to look behind.
