Need a good skid steer latch box set….

I’m making an attachment to go from my excavator to skid steer. I have the quick attach ears for my excavator, just need a good blank skid steer adapter. There are a couple out there that are about 400-500 pre welded to a blank frame, then there are a bunch that are just the 2 skid steer plates not connected. I dont mind that, I’m just wanting something decent and not the bottom barrel of Chinese imports.

anyone bought one and had a good experience with it? There are a couple out there for 1500-1600 and I refuse to pay that for adapters on a blank frame.

Your looking for a SSQA blank frame? Dosnt every manufacturer sell one? I have never seen one for $400+
Tomahawlk and express steel both sell them for $250 and down. Both are US built.

Thanks. I just literally scored these. They are tweaked, meaning the cross tube is twisted. One is pretty new but tweaked bad, the other is older but barely bent(on edit, it was not bent at all and was new old stock).
$200 for both. Exactly what I was wanting.

Great find for $200 bucks. The two biggest problems with SSQA or Latch Boxes is conformance to the SSQA standard which the Kubota SSQA does very well and some SSQA or Latch Boxes use light gauge metal suitable only for light duty 20-30 hp tractors. Hard to tell but the pins in R hand SSQA look like size suited to 40 hp tractors so SSQA might be suitable metal thickness for your 40 hp 11,000 Lb U48. The pin size won't matter since I presume you are cutting the pin bosses off for your project.

so good deal, the faded one with the pins in it is new, never been used. This particular dealer has a lot of new stock faded and sitting. Personally I really like walking through their lot. Kubota sends stuff, doesn’t sell, fades and gets pushed to the side. There was a couple of full loader and smaller tractors still in the crate at one time that was pink. Small dealer, extremely great people.

The newer one of the 2, not very old, was bent bad. Cut it in half, beveled, and welded the tube. There is a slight off-ness when your put a straight edge on it because it was bad bent, but it hooks up good, and really is almost perfect. I’ll just throw it in the corner of the barn. I plan on using the new faded one for my project. I had to pull the latch pins because they rusted shut, clean, replace grease fittings. All good.
