Need a John Deere model Z997 fuel solenoid for SN 020001-050000

I need the above fuel solenoid . It has no part number.

Does anyone have a used JD parts number AD882534 mower fuel injector pump with solenoid for sale?

Does anyone know where I can get a Woodford solenoid?

Does anyone know where I can get a solenoid repaired?

OK help us out here. Is this the European unit that you have been talking about?

Does it have the 28.5 HP Yanmar Diesel engine?

Do you know the year of manufacture?

Where did you get this number? It doesn't show up on the Z997 parts list.


I worked at ThermoKing Corp for years. They use Yanmar Diesel engines in the units. You my try taking the solenoid to a local ThermoKing dealer/repair shop and see if they can match it with a new one.

Yes it is a European unit.

Believe that the Yanmar diesel is 31 HP.

The 997 was manufactured in 2007 per the JD plate on the unit.

The part number was given to me by the Green Parts store. The usual parts listed on the JD catalogue website and all the dealers websites only contain information for model years 2015 and newer. One has to email or call the dealer to look up the part numbers for older units. A real pain.

Is it a 2 wire or 3?? Why are you replacing it? Have you removed it & tested? Checked the fuses & relays?? Those things ARENT CHEAP..

Read my question in your original thread. The VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is the only number which is relevant to your quest for parts info. Forget the model year.

Post the VIN please.

Your question here regarding a FIP Solenoid for S/n 020001 - 050000 is irrelevant BECAUSE the FIP has a Serial Number Break at 030100 >

So you need to be telling us whether your machine has a S/n below 030100 or above 030101.

Please stop bouncing around the room and go back to your original thread where I have some news for you...

P.s. The Pump Guy is correct and it is a "Woodward" solenoid. My bad writing "Woodford". (I knew what I meant though). :ashamed:

The part number given for the FIP is for the units made in 2015 and newer. Check the copyright date at the bottom of each page of the Operator or Technical manuals.

To get the unit made in 2007 you have to ask the JD dealer to look it up on their computer and it come up to a part AM882534

This price is for the whole mechanical FIP including the solenoid. That is why I have sticker shock and looking for an outside the box solution. If I have to go that route.

JD didn't make the inj. pump.. get me the #'s off the pump itself & I'll send you the sol. #.. its in the PUMP parts breakdown..

Unfortunately I do not have the fuel injector pump parts breakdown:

Maybe I can get the number for the FIP from the casting on the engine FIP.

I'll try.

The numbers off the fuel solenoid Are:
first line : 1503ES12S5UC55 Note the 5's could be S's or the S's 5's. That is 1503ES12SSUC55?
Second line: 119053-77950
Third Line: 2393082 - 12 VDC
it is made by Woodward.

From McGill.com they show that solenoid as a SA-4921. As they are closed I can't check with them.
