My google fu is weak for JD equipment. I just picked up this 3 bottom with trips to replace my old Dearborn that I have been adding various scrap metal to, to keep it in usable form.

I'm planning on unbolting the third arm and even then I doubt I will be able to pull this full depth except is some of my sandy areas. But I'm just a hobby farmer and food plotter with an old Fergie, so I'm not in to much of a rush anyway.

The biggest thing will be no more busting my knees on the dash :thumbsup:


I need to replace the shares and shins on it at as well. So Ideas to point me in the right direction?

CAT I? If so, it looks like a model 412 or 415. Also looks like landing lever (adjustment on offset drawbar) has been bolted in place (as a "farmer fix")

Been meaning to ask....Years ago, when I raced dirt bikes, I used to help friends convert Honda MX bikes into enduro bikes.... One of the mods was adding a weight to the flywheel to give 'em more low end grunt. I got the weights from....MOOSE RACING..... That you?

Nopes its a Cat II.


Nope not me, I've been in different morocycle competions for a long time, and alot of people mispronouce my last name moose. So they just stuck together when I got my first email address back in the 90's.

Okay, just came across someone posting a picture in another thread of their plow and now I am thinking it is an 810.

I did get the 3 unbolted and moved the wheel up to the 2nd unit. I have to figure out a way to leverage the moldboad back as the trip spring pulled it forward about 1/4" enough to misaligned the holes when I was moving the wheel.

Still deciding on the drawbar mount.

ooops! Meant to post back a'fore now. That IS a model 810. (What was the first CATII 3-point plow from Ma Deere, meant to work with "Yakima" 801 hitch originally)
