I started fertilizing my new yard with my Scott's Speedy Green broadcast spreader at about 6:00 PM last night. I was sure it would take an hour. As the hours ticked by, 7:00 PM, 8:00 PM, 9:00 PM and I kept looking over each pass at my BX23 with 8 hours on it sitting idle in the garage I could not help but smile at the irony. Can anyone suggest a fertilizer spreader for it? My wife was quick to point out "there must be some way that the new thing in the garage has some thingy to do what you did quicker".

Here is a thread about the CCM fertilizer spreader that will give you a good start on the knowledge base that you will need in making a wise choice. CCM Spreader....

PS.... if you decide to purchase one and have it delivered to Stafford, let me know. I am also considering one and possibly we both could save on shipping two vs. one....

There are a few of us who swear by the HERD M96. Its American made, American owned, made in Logansport, Indiana. Not the cheapest spreader on the market, but the mechanism is made from heavy castings instead of stamped steel. The body is galvenized metal. It is a nice capacity for Sub-CUTs and small frame tractors.

I too, am in the Stafford zip code. I bought a york rake from Mark at CCM and was totally satisfied from start to finish. Knowledgeable, and follows through to the end., Pricing was half of what that new TSC in Enfiled was asking and they had single bolt tines, 1/2 or so. The one from Mark is double bolt, 5/8 X 1 inch, a third heavier and half the costs
