As with everything, going through this process is a learning experience. My original cylinder which had a 4 inch barrel and a 2 inch rod had a welded tube and and what they call a pinhole or pin eye in the rod. Prince did not make this cylinder anymore in fact they felt it was probably a custom cylinder. So on the advice of another member I called Bailey's, they actually had the exact cylinder available under their chief cylinder line. Apparently they build these in United States and provide a three-year warranty. So I ordered one up this week and it should be a plug in place. And it was $100 less then the cylinder I was going to get at surplus center and that one was going to make me have to do some modifications to the ram.

You made sure the fittings were the same also? Could be either ORB or NPT fittings. IF not, you may have to buy a few adapters.

I have never had any issues with any baileys products. I think you will be happy.
