need a part or better idea for repair

apparently MF didnt have much foresight in the design of the headlight on the 2006 GC 2315 ... the bulk of its weight is in the center, the mounts are on the ends and between weight and mounts it has thin plastic that breaks leaveing the center falling out or into the hood ..... i put it back togather with clear epoxy wich worked good till the light got cold .. where do i get a new light ? has anyone had this happen to them and fixed it with better materials .. i have been thinking about makeing the plastic ends dissapear and fab-ing up sheetmetal ones that can be riveted to the center and braceing the **** out of it

Have you contacted your local MF dealer to see if they have improved it or they may have a kit to change it over. I will look into it also to see if i can find out anything for you.

I know of no one else who has had your problem.

Sure, they could have spent a lot more effort on the headlight, and a few other things. Then, the tractor would cost more money. If they changed everything everyone thought should be better, most of us would not have bought one, because it would have been too expensive.

I would suggest you reinstall the headlight, after cleaning the area, use aluminum foil tape to attach it, on the inside of the hood, along the top and bottom of the light. I promise, it won't go anywhere after that.

You should forget about buying a new one, you will have a heart attack when you see the price.
