I need a V belt for my finish mower.
I just put a new one on it at the end of last season. got maybe 2 mowings in.
Mowed once this year. Went out to mow a few days ago and the belt broke.
I got the front yard mowed. Will have to bush hog the back yard now.

The big main pulley on my finish mower is wore out bad.
The edges are thin and really sharp. I go thru about one belt per season.
I need to replace the pulley but I have to find one first. 60 inch BigBee FM.
Until then all I can do is keep putting belts on it when the break.

I have been getting belts from O Reilly's Auto Parts. $50 each.
The belt comes with a 1 year warranty so I figure I will get one season out of
it. If it breaks during the season they will replace it free.
Is there a place I can get a belt for less. Online or otherwise.
Or is $50 each par for the course on this. 111 inch belt, Part # B108

A source for a main pulley would be great too. I have the manual for it.

Thanks.

Have you tried TSC? I have been using their blue Kevlar belts for a couple of years now and they hold up great on my mower decks. I have gotten 96 inch there before and am pretty sure they have larger ones. If memory is working corectly the 96 inchers were around $20 so I don't imagine the 111 inch one would be that much more.

I'll call them tomorrow (Wednesday).
I have to go right by there on Friday.
I could stop and get one if they have one.
Thanks for the suggestion.

I put in B108 and came up with a $8.34 price. don't know if it's correct belt.

The Gates product number for part # B108 is 9003-2108. The SRP is $27.80. You might check your local auto parts store.

I got a belt for my Landpride finish mower at my local Napa for about 1/2 what Landpride/my local tractor dealer wanted.

Rats! DSGSR beat me to it. I have found that NAPA carries most of the same belts as mowers in the industrial line. Only problem is they charge 1/2 or less what the mower companies do. Uh, wait! That's not a problem !

Try Motion Industries I think they have some stores in Chattanooga.

I didn't get to any of this today.
Hopefully I'll get to make some calls tomorrow.
Got some good places to start here.

And I found a source for the main pulley.
Sweet Tractors can send me one.
Soon as I can save up enough I'm gonna order one.
Then belts shouldn't wear out so fast.

Thanks.

NAPA has the belt I want. A little over $25.
Maybe the $27 quoted above.

TSC belts only went up to 100 inches.

I plan on getting one today.

Thanks for all the replies.
