Need a tie rod

Anyone know where or how to search John Deere dealers to find a tie rod for my 4510. All the local ones are out of stock and they have to check with JD to see if they are available.
I bent the tube and was able to salvage the ball joints minus the dust bushing. I may try a machine shop or even blacksmith to see if it can be bent straight.

The tube only at this time is no loner being made avail, it looks like the complete tie rod is all you will find in the near future -LVA14951 description: TIE ROD ASSEMBLY you don't want to know what it cost!

I know what it costs, thats why im looking anywhere I can. Of course, I was expecting it, though. I even had to deal with the shame of asking my brother with the Kioti if I could borrow his set of torches so that I could try to bend it back.

Wonder if thats gonna be the same result for the grease boots (LVU11254) I tore trying to remove the tie rod. Dealer shows out of stock, araaaaarrrrgghhhh.

Thanks, my dealer ended up calling me with that number, hope they still have it tomorrow.

Check some 4WD companies, some of them manufacture aftermarket tie rods for Jeeps, JKS and Curry come to mind. I've got a 4130 tie rod on my Jeep, biggest expense beyond the tube is the left hand tap, JKS might be able to help you out, talk to Jim Nolette.

I bent the tie tod on my CK30 in the first 15 minutes of owning the tractor!

I just adjusted the toe in and continued with the bent rod; in fact it looks like it was supposed to be that way!

I was helping a friend clearing some downed trees on his property when he bent his straight tie rod into a V shape running over a raised tree stump. He had less than six hours on the tractor. We didn't want to chance damaging the front differential by driving it back to the house so we took the tie rod off where it sat. We brought it back to my garage. Since the rod was bent and stressed pretty bad I decided to cut off the two threaded ends about 6" in then cut a new center section from 1/2" schedule 80 pipe (which is thicker than the original), beveled the ends and welded his threaded ends to the new center pipe. Ground down the welds and painted it. It looked like a brand new tie rod. Took it back to his place, put it back on and reset the toe with a tape measure.
A week later I brought his tractor to my place and made up a 3/8" thick skid plate that I mounted under the tie rod in the center.

I bent the one on my Ford 1100 more times than I can count.I just kept straightening it. I ordered a new one but figured on putting it on when the old one broke. I sold the tractor and still have the new one around here somewhere. Shortly after selling it, the new owner broke it, took it off straightened it, welded it back together and never said a word. I purchased the tractor back a year later, noticed the weld and told him about having the part. I sold the tractor again, but still haven't dug out the spare part. New owner knows I have it though.
