Wondering if they sell Trailer Stretchers at the same place they sell Board Stretchers? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Squeezed my L3130 with FEL and Box Blade onto my trailer today. Sure wish I'd had it made 4 foot longer 12 years ago when I got it.

Drove 24 miles with this setup today and all went well until I got home. Punctured the tailgate with a tooth when backing into the driveway.

Anyone got a better idea than this for loading this combo? Need both the FEL and Box Blade?

Time to pony up for a bigger trailer. Plain and simple. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Figured a sharp turn might do some damage! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Time for a new one as mentioned or maybe get a Board Strecher from the lumber yard! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

With the grapple on it might not help as much but try rolling the bucket all the way down or under. This at least gets the teeth away from the tailgate.

As mentioned, you can roll the bucket all the way under and gain a little room as well as keep the teeth out of the tailgate. I had the exact same problem with my 5030 fitting. Also, that is when I found that straps will break. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif At least you are using chains; much smarter than I was. I had plenty of room when the front straps broke and my tractor rolled back about 4 feet. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif That shift in weight made it rather difficult to handle.

I'd already added 2' to my 18' trailer, so I was out of room. Besides, most trailers like yours generally have two 3500 pound axles. Add the weight of your trailer (even more if you add on like I did), your tractor, loader, box scraper etc. and you are probably getting close to all your trailer will handle.

I went to a 25' gooseneck trailer. That made it much nicer. Not only for the fit, but also for towing. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Roll that bucket all the way under and start trailer shopping. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Good luck!

I don't know about how it would balace, but could you back on and let the bucket rest on the ramps.

The best option is a new trailer. In lieu of that, unhook the box blade and load in in front of the trailer and rest the buck on top of it. It should allow you to park the tractor farther back on the trailer. If you try that, you'll have to check the trailer balance/tongue weight to make sure there's not too much weight on the rear of the trailer.
