Massey Ferguson 261
The tire and intertube on the 4x2 Massey 261 blew out this week. I work on sand predominently on sand. Dry, loose sand. Any way the stock tires tend to cut in and sink whenever I use the loader.

The stock tire is a 7.5x16. I'd like to put a much wider front tire.

What is the widest tire I can put on this rim?

I'm open to changing the rims to a wider one as well. The Massey uses a six bold pattern but I don't know what the pilot hole is.

Looking for any suggestions. lessons learned etc.

We did exactly that to a 2020 John Deere tractor that had a loader.

In our case, we "borrowed" two 11.00 X 15 tires and wheels off of a silage wagon,, they fit perfectly.

The 11 inch wide tires were a shock, the tractor went from two handed muscle steering, to almost one finger steering.

The tires we used were the multi-rib implement tires.
The tires stayed on the tractor, we bought two new tires and wheels for the silage wagon.

Thanks for the reply. I figured someone had done this. Glad to see my thinking was not flawed.
