Hi,
My brother in law's 4300 will not lift the loader or move backhoe after starting. I cannot get to see the tractor myself for a day or two. I believe he has run it low on hydraulic fluid. There is a leak somewhere on the hoe, and he's not very mechanical to say the least. I instructed him to check the fluid level and add if needed. If he has run it low,
is it damaged? It's a gear shift with shuttle reverser.

Any hyd pump can be damaged if it's run dry. Did he run it like this for long? A few seconds, probably not a problem a few minutes, you probably have a problem!

First course of action would be to have him re-fill it and try it.................
