sabertooth I think I,d go for option#2.Aren,t the augers quite spendy? If you,re getting an older gear box etc,I,d think you can purchase new for about even money with option #1Just my thought:DDave

No its a brandnew unit just was on lot attached to tractor guy brought tractor did not want PHD just a like a demo I guess. I know TSC PHD is $399 not sure think it comes with a 6" bit. I think the Bobcat PHD is heavier built unit than the TSC one. ANd option #2 do not understand did you mean the R-blade is a good price I have seen used ones here but most of the time looks like they used them to p[ry something cause they have a big bow in them I knoe the one at Atwoods is a Peidmont(not bad quality looking)I really wanted one with Hydraulic Angle/tilt(thats why I got the rear remotes) just did not know they were that exspensive $1500 plus.

Used scraper blades are often for sale for much less than $500. Though, I've only seen a few that were 7', which is the right size for a CK.

PHDs you see sometimes used, going for about $300 - $500, with at least one bit. Bits are about $150, for an average one. Check out the drive shaft, that its the right length (or at least as long as needed) for your tractor. You can change the PTO connector, but it's a bit of work and the part isn't that cheap. A new drive shaft is another $100 or so. So, your total cost might be $500. That's still at least a couple hundred less than the best deals I've seen on any packaged setups.
