Used our new Fimco 3 pt boomless sprayer yesterday on one of the most beautiful days I had ever seen. Sprayer worked great. Was trying to unhook sprayer and tractor's 3 point arms would not slide off of the permanently attached pins on the sprayer. Finally got one arm off but second one would not move at all. This ruined a great day of spraying. Anyone have an idea on how to persuade this arm to move.

Do I understand correctly that the ball wouldn't come off of the hitch pin?

Did it go on easy? Should come off if it did. It's either in a bind or just needs persuading. Raise/lower the lift arms a bit, and if that doesn't free it up, grab a hammer.

Also a little penetrating lube. I get that issue on the yanmar after it sits for a bit with an impliment. The balls get really stiff and bind.

It did go on a little hard, however, I thought with all the bouncing around spraying the pasture that things would loosen up. I went out at lunch and bought some emery cloth to shine up the pin and went to get my hand grinder and the wire brush attachment. This has now become a crusade. I have never had a 3 point attachment this hard to take off the tractor. Fimco's pins must be a bit oversized along with their paint causing a sticky situation.

Paint on pins tends to gum up the removal.

Thanks to all who replied. Finally just had to horse it off. Will make sure pins are nice and shiny before the sprayer gets used again.

Before I got my Pats, I had trouble with my equipment hanging on the lift arms after sitting and rusting. Every time I hooked or unhooked the pivot balls got greased. Helped a lot to make them slide on and off easy.
