Decisions, decisions. I'm gonna buy a new tractor, but am looking at the dk35se or the ck35 both mech shift. Need advise on which one to buy I will use it mostly to move snow in the winter with a scraper blade to access my bush lot, and for winching, and skidding. It may also get some time hooked to a 48"brush hog and 72"snow blower. I am also torn on the tires. the dk I'm looming at has ag tires, and the Ck has Industrials on it. is it just me or do they sit the same height with either tire?? Do not know anyone to ask about the ags on these tractors, cause they all seem to have indust tires. Dealer tells me the ags are better for traction in mud, but is wider not better in the snow??? Any advise would really be appreciated. The ck is lighter, and a little smaller, which may be better for the bush. But the Dk seems to be a heavier built tractor. The loader specs seem to be really close also why??? And lastly, why is it the Dk does not have a two stage clutch??:confused2::confused2:

Personally I prefer the DK.
Ag tires give better traction in mud and snow.
R-4's have a little less traction but don't tear up the yard as bad as an AG tires will.

The DK 35se has Independant PTO. The PTO turns on/off with a switch on the dash.
The PTO continues to run whether the clutch is in or out. So there is no need for a 2 stage clutch.

DK will also give you rear 3pt control, rear hydraulics, and 3 more hp.

I have the CK35 HST and find it has exceeded my expectations for my use. The DK is a heavier machine and maybe what you need for the type of work required. It also has some features not on the CK models. I have a Woods 7 ft backhoe on my machine and have lifted and pulled logs out of the bush. With the backhoe it does add weight to the tractor. I'm one of those guys who wants (not necessarily needs) bigger and or better but in this case the CK35 has worked well for me. At some point how big a machine do you get? I went with the R4 tires and glad I did.

I would buy the DK35SE over the CK, and here is why:

The DK has a modernized HST, so you now have the brakes on
the left, due to going to electric PTO. This is much better than the CK
HSTs, which still use a foot clutch. This is moot if you want gear drive.

The DK's underpinnings are much less vulnerable than the CKs, with their
low-hanging hyd filter.

However, if draft control is important, none of the CKs seem to have it,
despite being shown in the manuals. I think it is std on the DKs.

I have not owned a DK, but have owned both AG- and IND-tired CK30s.
The IND tires do get stuck easily in mud, but the AGs ride terribly on
pavement.

I have made up my mind to ge the ag tires. But am still torn between the
dk and ck. I like the dk for the seat, and the straight armed loader, and the three point. But the Ck seems to be nicer when you sit on it, for lay out of the controls. Would not buy a hydrostat. I'm 6 feet and 250 lbs. I find the pedal really combersom on the ck for fwd/rev. Why are all loader arms rounded now??? Do you think the weight of the DK is a drawback? or a good thing. I looked up New holland, Case and JD. The kioti is still alot heavier, WHY!!!
I think there may be a typo in the specs.

DK is just a heavier duty tractor, (weight, etc.) than the competing brands, of the similar size. I believe it has cast iron axles, and is just built like a tank.
Its how Kioti does that series. The newest body style is dark grey on lower portion of sheet metal, and orange on top. Anything with grey gray on the lower half is leftover 'early '09 or earlier. Have dealer verify by serial number what year tractor was manufactured before buying. I bought an '08 manufactured tractor in May of '09, but dealer says year of sale is what they go by when it comes to trade in time. I'll see what happens when I go to buy up!
The loader, in my personal opinion, is adequate but can be overpowered by the tractor's strength, (HP). I guess it is a question of operator skill level and how hard one pushes their rig in various operations of the loader.
AND the hst DK is not a single pedal- it is a two separate pedals on the right and it works well for me. I'm slightly shorter than you but weigh about the same. The warranty on the Kioti is better than the others you are looking at too. If you go with the CK and wish later you had gone bigger- just get the DK if you have the change to do it. You will NOT be disappointed. I have 165+ hours on mine since May, '09 and I do NOT baby it either. It has done everything I've wanted it to.
