I have done multiple searches and I guess that I just don't know enough to make the proper search.

I am in need of a grapple addition to my 1500D (new pictures uploaded). I ran across some cool things when I was in the market for a tractor. I actually loved the FEL valve on the TYTAN. They support a 5-way bucket and/or blade. The joystick was just as the one that I have except the stick also rotated along the vertical axis. By the twist, the bucket would open or close (thier solution to grapple).

I would love to add a grapple to my unit. I am just a little afraid that since I don't even know what to search for, that I am already in over my head.

I have read about the electric diverter valve. I have tried to follow the other discussions about the valve block and frankly, I am lost.

What are my options and does anyone have any direct ideas and/or suggestions. I am about ready to just make one out of wood and tie a rope to the dang thing.

Thanks for any help, experience, or comments! I appreciate it.

They are fantastic tools that make your tractor a lot more useful.

If you can swing $300-400 for the WR Long kit and you're reasonably handy, you'll probably like that way of adding a grapple the best. Nice clean install, well proven. I've had 4 of them on my last 4 compacts and I swear by them, not at them. :)

Might be able to get one dealer installed for ~$650.

I was very close to getting the WR long valve, and doing it myself. After I priced out the kit, Figured out my time, and the fact that I am a picky Sob, it would take me a long time to do it. Since my Machine (Kubota L4400 FEL BH) was still at the dealer I called and asked. They gave me the semi run around, but since I was schooled up on the different options out there, that I got from these forums, The price went from $900 for the "Kubota kit installed," to $700 installed. Still a little high, but the install, and parts are covered by the dealer, and Kubota, Did I mention I was picky? Also the kit has brackets for this application. I figure I am ahead just from the warranty factor.

That was smart doing it thru Kubota.
My tractor was 3 yrs old (used) so I went with WR Long.
