...could you give me some insight as to the ease of putting it together; did everything fit; quality of materials; and your overall pros and cons.
Thanks, Ralph
I buy all my metal roofing, trim and roll up doors from Mueller with fantastic results. Before I found them, I used a few other companies. One is now out of business and the other wasn't very reliable.
Mostly I build wood frame and put metal on for the roof. Mueller is great for this.
One time another contractor called me and asked me to give him a hand with a metal building kit he was having trouble with. He's built several larger buildings, but this was his first bolt together kit, and it was from Mueller. It was a small garage the I'm guessing was around 20 by 30.
They had bolted up most of it, but had run into trouble with getting it square. The purlins wouldn't line up on the roof. We did a bunch of measuring to find out the problem and after a fewhours realized that the wrong bolt holes had been used. They bolted it up and kept everything loose until it was all together, then tightened them all up. While tightening the bolts, the building went out of square.
It was a one day delay that was caused by rushing along and not paying enough attention to the plans.
This probably wont happen to anybody who buys a new building as the guy who bought the building got a great deal on it as it was an older kit that they had out back. I'm not positive, but I think it was a prototype kit or somthing like that, and they gave him a price he couldn't refuse for it, but I'm a little vague on the details as it was about 3 years ago and just a day job for me.
I'll buy from Mueller over just about anybody else. I'm sure there are other companies as good, but I have no experience with them. Mueller has proven to me they are a quality company.
