Just picked up an older Sears garden tractor and a 3pt tiller for the tractor. Unfortunately it doesn't have the 3pt hitch attachment. At one time Sears did sell them but they don't anymore. Old guys in the parts department do remember one although the newer type lawn tractors use a pull type tiller.

It did have a manual lever 3pt system to lift the gas driven tiller so looking for a picture or drawings of how it worked.

You might check out LynolsOffice on Youtube. They have all kinds of small lawn and garden tractors and related equipment they fix on. Recently they have been asked to clean up their "stock" and are selling things off. They may not have what you are looking for but they seem pretty knowledgeable about that type of machinery, maybe they can send you in the right direction.

Good luck,
DTS

Is the tiller the gas operated model(8 hp Briigs?)? If so this weekend when I get home I can get you pics of the hookup on the tiller side if thats what you need. How much info you want? Pretty simple setup,on the road now so cant do anything till sat or sunday. If this is what you need, let me know will send pics and measurements.

Yes 8hp tiller is the one any pics would be great thank you!!

I need the whole set up if possible, how it hooks up to the tractor and the tiller. Looks like there is one plate on the tiller with an upper rod on the tractor with handle on it for lifting the three point to the tiller. Only not sure how it all works.

Maybe these will help. The only difference is the manual handle has been cut off on the right.

Have had a lot of those hitches but neaver seen one with HYD lift. Good work! takes the fun out of it. The older you get the harder those handle are to move. Did have a Arens with a "O' cat HYD lift one time Sold it to Brother-n-law and he still has it.

Can I bother you with some questions?

How long are the lower arms from the farthest end to the center of the joining shaft?

What is the width between the lower arms?

What is the distance between centers of the lower arm shaft to the upper lifting shaft?

For the third point of the hitch is that the stock location where it attaches to the tractor?

Oh yes, an important question is with a manual lift how is the handle locked in in the up position??

I gather your motor has a down drive shaft how does it drive the hydraulic pump?

What hp is your tractor just curious my little 13hp might not be able to power a pump. Although the 13hp tractor is the same size as the 17.5hp tractor so there might be a motor up grade in the future.

He has quite the site lots of info there. I did see a glimpse of the hitches on the tractors but not in detail of course. I did send him an email so waiting on the reply, when it comes I will forward it to here. Thanks for the info.

There's some drawing and specs for Cat 0 hitch on http://groups.yahoo.com/group/homebuiltequipmentfortractors/files/Cat%200%203%20Point%20Hitch%20Info./

The parts that are drawn were done as CAD drawing practice by a student some years ago. I don't remember his name. The link is good, but I would guess you'll need to join the Yahoo group to see the stuff. That may or may not be worth it to you, LOL!

Oh, and the drawings are of parts from Economy/Power King 3 point hitch. I don't know that it is labeled particularly well.

Lower arms are 18" between outer holes with lift hole being centered. Lift rods are 10"long with a bend 2" from lift arm and those are 4 1/2" from cross shaft to lift rod hole. Top rod tab is just below cross shaft.

There is no hydraulics hooked up yet. What you see is a linear actuator from a wheel chair lift.

Cleatus,
Thank you for the measurements.

Is the actuator strong enough for heavier attachments? My tiller is about 200#s for sure I gather your actuator will handle it.

All I basically need now is how the handle locks into place once the lift has been completed.
