Where's the best place to buy parts for the LT1045 lawn tractor? A mouse chewed through several wires and almost through the spark plug wire. I spliced in the small wires and protected the plug wire and it runs fine, but I need to replace all of them. Is there an on-line source? I haven't found these parts in any of the "box stores" and hate to pay repair shop prices. Thanks!

I've gotten numerous parts from CubCadet.com. They sometimes have good prices, sometimes not, so I usually check the spendier pieces on one of the many ebay sellers.

easymow - as an aside, didja chk under the engine's sheet metal cooling cowling for mice nests and related trash? If they are there, will prolly cause engine overheating/damage...

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, I not only checked everything over thoroughly, but washed it all down with high pressure to clean out any small particles in the fins.

I really need a part number for the starter wiring harness, coil connections, and the plug wire. The owner's manual and the repair manual do not give us a part number breakdown.

You might start here.....LT1046 Tractor 2008 & after 13AP11CH010 | Messick's

The wiring harness is not pictured, but part number is listed. Make sure you are looking at the correct page for, your model year, and serial number range.

I am sure a phone call would remove any doubt, as to whether the harness listed, is the one you need.

Hope you get it fixed.

Ouch. hi press washer not too good on engine or rest of tractor. Better some delicate scraping along with compressed air or leaf blower. L&G powered eqpt just won't stand up to garden hoses and pressure washers. Electrical systems, and other fluid systems are not waterproof as compared to automotive. . Strongly suggest you change out your engine oil.

Thanks, Hill Billy Bob. I followed up on that and have parts on order. I'm comfortable they'll be the right ones.
