Dealer Need Help! 990, 4510, 4710 Prices and Dealers...

Hello All,

Florida JD Dealers are tough. I got some quotes today from some local Florida Dealers. How bad are these quotes?

It gets worse, another dealer gave me these quotes:

I'm sure there are better dealers to buy from price wise, these guys would be fine for repairs.

Any tips on what these units should go for and places to buy them? I'll drive to TN, TX, wherever.

Your 4710 price has my very recent quote beat. Best 4710 quote I got around here (SW PA) was a tick over 26K for a 4710 reverser w/ R1s, 460 w/ reg. 73" bucket & bucket level indicator, ballast box, LX6 w/slip clutch, and filled tires. WITHOUT tax. You've got the hydro, R4s, MX6, and box blade (without the ballast box or filled tires?) for just $900 more. Your 4510 quote from the same dealer doesn't seem nearly as good a deal.

The 4710 price is the best deal, though it looks like that is only because they made an error in subtracting the $2160 "discount" twice. So I'm not sure if they would actually give you that price.

Oops, /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif I messed up and added the discount on the 4710 twice. They gave the discount after taxes so add $2,160.00 to the 4710 total.

Now you're $3K over my quote for adding hydro, R4s, the box blade and upgrading to the MX6. Since based on what many have posted here in other parts of the country I knew I was already on the high-ish side - your quote seems higher than average. There is a $900 or $1000 rebate on the 'old' ten-series large-frame CUTs right now - do you know if your dealer included that in the 'package discount'? Might make a difference.

I called my dealer today and asked him to give me a price on a...

4710 with a the 460 loader and R4 tires. $25,000.

The MX6, if bought with the tractor, is $1,650.

He didn't have a firm price on the Frontier BB but said it would run somewhere around $650 to $750.

These prices do include all discounts. I'd say keep shopping /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Thanks Billy, is this pretty much the best you think your dealer will do?

The dealer here in Florida wants $28,090.00 for just the 4710, and the FEL. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif It is a HST tranny though (is that what you had quoted?).

Maybe my guy will give a discount off of just the Tractor & FEL.

I know Mike lives near Tri-State and I read of some good deals going through there also...Mike?

I'm telling yah, Florida is becoming expensive. I better find a trailer and head out toward you guys. How does the out of state tax thing work?

If I were a Dealer, I wouldn't be too anxious to discount a 4710 right now. Those who really want 'em, will pay for them, and the 4x20's are 'posed to be at a better value point. If I were buying, I would be looking at the 4x20's, so Tim can have his 4710....

That deal that Pigeon was looking at was at Tristate, it was a nice machine, but I checked and it is surely gone!
