Ok looking a 2 tractors...both gear drive with loaders...

1 is a 2007 2015 with 150 hrs for 8k....will this handle a 4ft brush hog no problem ???

The other is a 3016 for 12k...400 hrs,,,shuttle shift...will this handle a 5ft hog ? This one has almost 3 yrs of warranty left....

I am either buying one of these or a brand new LS xj2025h with a loader and 4ft hog for 15k

I like the price of the 2015,,,I wish it was hydro...its close to same size as the new LS,,,slightly less (1 hp) pto hp....Im not sure what to do....

Appreciate ALL suggestions..

I have a 4acre lot to brush hog...mostly goldenrod....use the loader for gravel and snow

4' brush hog? I should say so, but what kind of tractors are they? I assumed JD, but didn't get a match on "JD 2015."

Both are Mahindras - as in Mahindra Buying/Pricing.
TractorData.com Mahindra 2015 tractor information

I very nearly bought a 3016 myself, but they couldn't locate me a gear model. That's a lot of tractor for the money, IMHO. Definitely worth the 50% more - it's 50% more tractor and a lot newer, and warranty.

I agree and in a heart beat. You did not say what year the 3016 is but Mahindra has had a couple price increases on this tractor since 2012. I'd offer 11,5 and see from there. (They don't even have this model line anymore which is essentially a Mitsubishi MT-28). Yes, it would handle a 5' hog.

3016 all the way. Especially given the 3 years left on warranty. Just my opinion and what I'd do.

The op needs to know that the rest of the warranty applies to drive train only. The first 2 years is the entire tractor coverage.

My old '41 9N handles a 5' hog with no problem, it's rated at 22 hp. with probably less than that now with wear. I'm using a 5' finish mower on an eMax 22 with no issues, also 22 hp. You'd probably do better with the 5' since it's a more common size and you could likely buy it cheaper and re-sell it easier if you had to.

The 3016 is a great package of power and size.

The 3016... no doubt
