I have new 1026r with 54 mower.my question is it has independent lift deck.I hate it.I don't use 3 point hitch.I went to my dealer and he gave me line of bs.told me independent lift mower all by its self.Want to know you tell me jd dealer has four mower in stock ?54" non independent lift and 54 indenrent lift and 60 with and with out indepentent lift or do they only make two mower and they add parts to it to make it independent lift? please any one know.

John Deere makes good equipment. All tractor manufactures have good equipment. A tractor or a large lawn tractor is not like an automobile. The use of either requires a learning curve. The installation and use of implements requires a learning curve. One cannot acquire the skills and knowledge to operate a tractor or install implement properly by walking by. From your previous post on this new purchase I am of the opinion your problems would be diminished if you discussed with your Dealer the option of buying the 1026 back.

I would politely explain to the dealer that I think something was either made or set up incorrectly and that they need to send someone out to look at it. I would tell them if it is my fault I will gladly pay for the service call but if there is a problem with the tractor that I would not think that I should have to pay and see what they said. Human nature being what it is if you come across as an ***hole you may have a hard time getting any help. I'm not saying you don't have a reason to be upset. I work in a customer service business. People who are nice get great service. People who are not don't. Just the way it is.
I was told when I bought it need to bring it to dealer for warranty work and need to pay couple of hundred for ride. I was told beside device never would work on one. With john Deere look in here nothing but problems. Decals coming off hose loom coming off auto connect don't work hose boots came off and lost then . No warranty on boots decal came off when washed it but was half missing when got it.if want to but John Deere 1026 or 1023 don't

Mike what don't you like about the indepent lift...... MY opinion it is superior to the mechanial lift.. Yes when going from point a to point b mower will drop down to your mower set height that is the way it was designed) ... But if you are going very far or not needing to use mower lift it completly up then lock deck in top position...
