Branson F4350
Would appreciate all responses. All of a sudden starter on my Branson F4350 won't crank. Battery is new, got power to the Starter (solinoid?), checked gear positions, pto-in N and off. When I turn the key to on, get power, when I turn the key (when working starts by turning key) nothing-I do hear two clicks when I turn the key but can't tell where the clicks are coming from-from a relay??
When clutch is engaged, it presses a start safety switch-could this switch be bad?
Thanks,
PEM

I do not know what safety's your 4350 has. My 3520 has a clutch and shuttle lever safety switch. If either of those two are not engaged (clutch in, shuttle lever in neutral) there is no ignition switch power to the starter (assumed solenoid). The first click with both safety's engaged is my fuel cut off solenoid at my IP, the second is the starter solenoid.
Providing that you have power in the circuit, your switches could be worn, out of adjustment, or faulty. I hope this helps.

Thanks fjb2c, I do have the s lever in N, and clutch engaged. I do hear two clicks, but the 2nd click does not crank the starter. Which switch do you think may be bad-key starter switch, or clutch safety switch? I have a remote starter, can I use to test starter-one lead goes to the starter battery terminal, where does the other lead connect to. Or, how can I test to see if solenoid or starter are out-I do have power at the starter battery terminal.

Don't know about the Branson, but some of the Centurys have a starter relay under the dashboard.

Clean your battery terminals and follow the negative to the frame remove and clean that also.

Making sure your connections are clean is good advice. The fact that you get that second click sounds like the solenoid is working and maybe the brushes or starter might be bad (if electrical connections and power, solenoid, switches are good).
I haven't had many problems with mine so far, and I am not sure where the starter solenoid is (I assume on the starter). Wherever it is, it needs to be bypassed to check the starter and eliminate it. Typically, the solenoid, starter mounted, requires 12v to the small ignition terminal, ground typically comes through the starter mount. Once this is energized, power is transmitted to the starter even if the key is off. I CAN NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO THIS BECAUSE YOU COULD BE RUN OVER! SOME SAFETY PRECAUTIONS THAT I KNOW OF AND PEOPLE WHO HAVE DONE THIS MAKE SURE THEY STAND CLEAR OF THE VEHICLE/TRACTOR, MAKE SURE IT IS IN NEUTRAL, MAKE SURE THE BRAKES ARE ON, AND DO NOT TURN THE IGNITION KEY ON.

I just picked up my 2007 4220I this weekend. It has 71 hours on it and I noticed yesterday it did the exact same thing. It was sitting in my driveway, of course blocking everything and it wouldn't start. Everything was in neutral, I could here the pump clicking but the starter would not turn. After about 10 tries it fired right up. I did just wash it so I'm wondering about that. I did clean the motor but covered alternator and all visible connections with plastic.
I have no manual on this tractor yet so I don't even know where the battery is.
It has sat most of it's life but was sitting since February in a dry barn.
It has not even had it's 50 hour service yet but I'm anxious to get some info. on this tractor so I can change out the hydraulic, oil and fuel filters.
