masssey ferguson tractors are the best "value for your dollar" in the entire industry. plus all their products are supported with sales & service through a network of dealers. the 500 series, along with it's predecessors (400 series & 200 series) are some of the hardest working tractors ever produced. i have owned several and they are true workhorses. if you want to buy a cheaper tractor built in india with minimal parts & service support, buy the mahindra. if you want to buy a higher quality tractor (built in brazil) from an american company that will make sure your investment is protected with parts & service, buy the massey ferguson.

I know this is an old thread but guess what now these tractors are made in India. I'm now looking at a new 2615 or a older 563. So i'm assuming the 563 is a no brainer correct?

I thought they were made in Japan by Mitsubishi, or was that for the lower models only?

The 500 series is built in Brazil by MF. The 2600 (not GC, the utility line) is built in India.

No Mitsu models in the MF line up.

MF Been around longer than mahindra in tractors. Dad has a 1805 mf and still can get tranny parts for it 30 odd years later. Though spendy, but still available threw the dealers. Not to mention good, easy supply of used parts available too:D Definitely MF.
