2008 Mahindra 3525
Hello eveyone, new to TBN. Talked to JJ in Fla who has been a big help. He suggested I post the above question so that I might get feedback from other Mahindra owners. My 3525 does not have a remote but does have a FEL. I want to rig a remote myself. My pump supplies the FEL valves/controls in series and terminates in a hose that appears to supply the 3pt/lift. JJ says I need to go from the FEL to the remote to the BH before the 3pt. The BH has 2 hoses on it and a tank. It also has a removeable plug in the top of the 1st valve where the in hose from the tank enters too. I think this plug is where I would connect the remote to the BH. The valves are also in a series and they terminate with an out hose going to the tank. There is also an out hose from the tank that I assume would go to the tank on the tractor. So would the 2nd hose then go to the 3pt? Or the other removeable plug on the 3rd valve on the BH?

Detach the hose that is on the PB port on the loader valve and run that hose to the from where it attaches to the tractor to the back, make it about 1.5 foot extra long, and put a male coupling on it. Run a hose from the PB port on the loader valve, to the back and put a female coupling on it. Next Tee into the return or tank line and run that to the back with a female coupling on it. When the backhoe is not on the tractor attach the extra long hose (loop it) to the line that is attached to the loader valve PB Port. When the backhoe is on the tractor the extra long hooks to nothing, the PB hose attaches to the in or power hose on the backhoe and the out or Tank hose on the backhoe attaches to the line that you Teed into the return line. When you are using the backhoe your 3PH is disabled and when the backhoe is off the tractor, the loop will power the 3PH. I hope you understand this.

Thanks Galen, But you are right, I'm not quite sure about the hose with the female coupling on it from the loader valve (2nd line of your reply). So are you saying 2 hoses from my FEL? I think I get the 1st one from the PB on the loader to the remote for the BH to hook up to this is where you say put a male coupling on(this is the hose that will now bypass the 3pt per your configuration). So here's where you say "Run a hose from the PB port on the loader valve, to the back and put a female coupler on it." That's 2 hoses from the PB port one male and one female? Then another female from the Tee off of the hose from the back at the tank? I think I get the rest of the hook up.

The 1st. hose I mentioned(1.5' extra long with male coupler), attaches to the steel line going back to the 3PH. The 2nd hose I mentioned (with female coupler) attaches to the PB port of the loader valve. The 3rd hose I mentioned (with female coupler) attaches to return to the hydraulic fluid reservoir.( I mentioned Tee into the loader return line.)
All 3 of these hoses go to the back, but only the 2 with female couplers attach to the backhoe, and the one with the male coupler doesn't attach to anything when the backhoe is on. When you take the backhoe off the 1st hose will loop back towards the tractor and couple to the 2nd hose.

Thanks again Galen. I plan to try this out tomorrow after work. I sure hope it works cause I got a couple of stumps that's been holding me up. I'll let you know how it goes.

OK we tried what I thought you said but ended up with a blown hose (actually a rigid pipe on the FEL). So then we tried a couple of variations but we either had no pressure or too much. I took some pictures and hope I can communicate which one is what. The 1st is the FEL (you may have to rotate it) The top hose w/elbow is the PB. I unhooked it from the 3pt put a female QD on it (cause I used males on the BH and 3Pt) and ran it to the back of the tractor as my remote. FEL still works fine, 2nd hose on same valve but lower seemes to be the "out" or return and ran to back of tank on tractor. I put female QD on Tank port and male end on this hose (see pic 2). We bypassed the BH tank and connected the new female remote from the FEL PB to the "in" or high pressure supply hose on the BH which is connected to the bottom of the 1st valve on the BH (see pic 3). The "out" or return hose for the BH was connected to the top of the 1st valve (see pic 3) and we ran it to the tank on the tractor bypassing the tank on the BH. To accomplish this. The out or return hose from the FEL was left hanging and the 3pt hitch was disconnected. Result was the BH worked but controls seemed to be backwards or opposite??? and too much pressure on FEL. It would raise but not go down, then blew the rigid pipe. So we Teed the BH & FEL out or return lines together. result was FEL worked better, but BH wouldn't. Then we ran FEL out/return through 3pt and BH out/return through tractor tank. result was nothing worked. So it seems that the 1st way works but just have too much pressure. I noticed the valve on the BH has a slotted control over the out/return hose (see pic 4). Is that a pressure adjustment valve. Are we supossed to adjust that? I feel like we are so close, but I don't want any more hoses to burst! The last picture is just the hose and male QD I put on the 3pt to reconnect to the FEL when the BH is not in use. Thanks in advance for any help you can give us.

Be careful of QD's on any hyd hose, as it will cause a deadhead, and break or blow up things. I suspect a QD was left hanging.

The only way the BH could be getting to much pressure is that your BH may be rated for 2500, and your tractor is rated at 3000 psi.

If there are two hoses, then one hose is the the supply or pressure hose, and it goes to the IN port of the BH valve. Put a tee at the IN port for a hyd gage.

The second hose should go to tank with no QD on it.

If you disconnect the BH with two hoses, then the supply hose goes to the 3pt.

If the BH uses three hoses, one of them is the supply or pressure hose, the second one is the return/tank, and should go to tank.

The third hose is probably BH PB and should go to the 3pt .

If you remove the BH with three hoses, just couple the supply and the BH PB hose together.

Do you have a manual for the BH?

A quick test for the BH would be to just supply a pressure hose and run any other hose to tank unimpeded, no QD's.

All the functions on the BH should work and all fluids from cyl or pump flow is just going to tank.

In your second picture, the female coupling that you put straight into the tank, put a T in before the coupling and attach the original hose that went there, to the T. I think you don't have the return line from the loader valve attached to the tank.
