I need some help identifying the make and model of this tiller. I'd like to do a rebuild soon and need to look up specs, parts, etc. Thank you.

Hey guys. Any idea on the make and model?

Any numbers or marking anywhere? Casting numbers? Stamped name on the rear cover ?

I see it has the right style of shear pin design, so must be from Europe, probably Italian would be my guess.

By the way, I would flip the PTO shaft around so the shear pin is on the tiller side. Makes it easy to change if it shears.

ptsg. Will do it on the PTO flip. I just took the wife out with me to take a closer look (eyes aren't what they used to be). Unfortunately, no casting or stamped numbers on the unit that we can see. I was guessing it may be an EU manufacturer potentially. Thanks again to anyone who chimes in on the topic. Hopefully, someone out there will recognize it.

Looks like this one is going to stump the experts...

Looks like a Sicma (Italian) gearbox, but early. Can't say anymore though.

It looks a little like my old Howard Rotavator. But, I'll have to take a look tomorrow when it is bright out, and hopefully not raining.

Is yours belt drive under the side cover?

I’m guessing gear drive since it has a fill plug. Bearings and seals can be figured out by dimension and type. What parts do you anticipate needing?

I haven't popped the cover yet, but expect it's chain drive as noted above. Regarding plans, I wanted to go through the unit (seals, bearings, gaskets, etc) and do a basic rebuild. The PTO gearbox output seal is currently blown and leaking through the tube into the chain gearbox on the side. I know I'll likely be able to get some numbers off bearings and seals during a teardown, but figured it would be a good idea to try and identify what I have before starting. Thanks again to everyone for your input.

I may have stumbled across the answer. I think it's a Kubota model B40C tiller. I'd guess it's made by another manufacturer, but I'm not sure. Below is a link to an owners manual that had this picture.
