I bought an old Machete 540 RPM PTO-driven wood chipper this summer. It works great, and I'm really happy with it. However, it appears there was a crack in the PTO drive shaft where it connected to the coupling, and I ended up shearing the shaft.

I thought, "no problem, I'll just replace the drive shaft." However, it seems easier said than done. The implement-side coupling has a smooth-bore 1-3/8" (might be 1-1/2"...need to measure again) rod with a 1/4" tongue. I cannot for the life of me find an adapter or drive shaft that uses this coupling. Is anyone familiar with this or have an idea of what I can do here? Thanks!

it's pretty common, a good farm dealer, farm store, or driveshaft repair dealer should have it
we called them - "implement yoke - 1 3/8 round bore with key way, be sure of your measurements!

Does it looks anything like this?.... If it does, it's a common item....

Usually a picture of broken part will tell us more about what you need....

Take the cross out of the yolk and add the yolk to the other driveshaft

Awesome! Thanks for the help. Half the battle of finding the part is having the right name.
