Front-End Loader Need help! Model 91 FEL fell off prop rod.

I made certain to clean the fittings thoroughly prior to reconnecting.

I can raise the bucket without any issues, but when I try to tilt down I must have someone physically push down on the bucket. Once the bucket is pushed down, it will only then tilt back up hydraulically.

Why not swap the curl and boom cylinder couplers, should help you determine whether the problem is with the valve or hoses and cylinders.

your hoses are either on wrong or one of them is not on all the way. Is the hyd pump "laboring"?

my neighbor had a problem with his tractor getting slower and slower with less power and the curl not working correctly. He had one hose not connected completely. The hyd pump was loading up. It is a good thing he asked for help when he did.......... and this guy is an "engineer"

You guys nailed it! I have one hose that is not connected firmly. I can attach any 3 of 4 hoses, but the 4th one will not attach.

Problem is...I cannot (no matter how hard I push) get it to seat completely. It keeps seeping hydro fluid into the coupler every time I try to push it on, creating a hydro-locking force that prevents me from pushing it on completely?

What to do now???

If its the male end try pressing the ball against a flat surface to let of the pressure the try it. Use a shop rag or some towels to keep from making a big mess with the oil. Good Luck

The hoses are female. I'll give a go at relieving the pressure.

Yes, relieving pressure is probably the cause. I have this issue with my rear remotes from time to time.

when you take the FEL off the tractor you have to relieve pressure in both circuits before you disconnect the hoses. Once the loader is sitting on the stand (or its fold down legs) and disconnected from the tractor, with the tractor engin off, "stir" the FEL control, gently. THEN disconnect the hoses and back the tractor out.

The same thing can happen to any Hyd driven implement. You can even do it to a splitter.

Once the loader is sitting on the stand (or its fold down legs) and disconnected from the tractor, with the tractor engin off, "stir" the FEL control, gently. THEN disconnect the hoses and back the tractor out.
