never knew about a BB (box blade) till i hit the above site, which then drew me to this site. and now on a hunt for a used 4 footer. to help maintain i would guess 1/2 to to 2/3 mile of driveway and lane to lake clear in back of property. being able to set up and down angles. and grade drive way. and ditches.
and then a 360 degree rear blade. to help deal with pushing snow. ya a snow blower would be nice. but i could see using the rear blade for some dirt work.
and of course a front end loader with standard bucket, if you had other landscaping projects, then perhaps 4in1 blade, or standard bucket with grappel.
finishing mower either MMM (mid mount mower) some folks might call them a belly mower (hope i got correct terms down) or a 3pt finshing mower that fits on back of tractor.
if you had woods, or areas that ya let grow tall, then perhaps a rotarty cutter, or many times i see folks call them a bush hog, that fits on back of a tractor via 3pt hitch.
above would get ya through most projects. you might end up with. though a small backhoe, is always nice!

for myself i wish i had a tractor that could handle a bat wing style finishing mower. so i could get up into the 12 foot plus mowing range, but i have also been looking at gang of mower reels. ((think 40's and 70's hand pushed mowers that didn't have an engine on them)) but a bunch of them pulled behind the tractor.
with the old allis chalmers, with i think it is a 60" belly finish mower, i can do about an acre and hour. that is if grass is short enough and i didn't skip last weeks mowing, it takes me about 8 hours for 8 acres here on the farm. it takes me about 12, if i have to take 1/2 passes or cut with mower up part way, then take another pass to cut it down were i want it.
the old allis chalmers ca only rated at i think 22hp, but it does so much better vs a riding lawn mower. rated around 16hp. difference for me would be 2 days hard working non stop mowing vs the 8 hours mowing.
i honestly don't care if the grass gets torn up some with regular R-1 tractor tires, like what you might see on a tractor out in the field. vs turf tires that look like car / truck tires. my experience has been when dealing with the multi hills i mow, and then wet low areas as well. the R-1 tractor tires don't spin the grass up, but just bites in and keeps on going. granted if it is to wet it will put some ruts in the lawn, but if it is that wet. you will most likely be having problems using any sort of mower cutting the grass due to it the grass being to wet. granted i am not looking for a golf course look. for me its more about keeping weeds down, and keeping any sort of pasture fire or woods fire from spreading across the farm.
i can't speak for new tractors. though my guess you will be looking at sub compacts and compact tractors. vs utilty tractors.
another way of saying it, in my eyes you are looking for an over grown riding lawn mower. with a 3 point hitch with a pto on the back.
