Hello all,

I have a L3240 kubota cab tractor and I already have a loader and already have the electric hydraulic valve (double action open center) with mounting plate.

My plan was to use the electric valve as a true third fuction independant of the loader hydraulics.

My question: How do you tap into the PB port on this tractor? Do you use a tee or is there a available pipe thread port to allow for extra hydraulics to be used.

Next question: How do you tap into the return port on the tractor and is there a tee here or a pipe thread port?

Anyone have any details on this?

You would attach the EH valve for your third circuit in series with the PB port (supply) and the hitch (return) to make it independant of the loader valve. The loader valve will be upstream of the EH valve so if there is demand there, it will feed that first and then feed the EH valve.

Be sure this EH valve is open center and can handle the flow and pressure requirements of the circuit as it will be in the circuit full time.

Easy to do - just have a hose shop fabricate a hose from the PB port to your valve inlet. The hose you removed from the PB port now has to attach to the outlet of the EH vavle - it may fit readily or need a fitting / adapter change.

I suggest taking the hose from the loader PB port to the hitch with you to the hose fab outfit so you can make one trip and get it right.

Good luck
