I have looked everywhere trying to find out what to tighten that bolt too. All I have found is 100, 110, 130-150 and over 200 lbs.

The tractor is a MF 135 with gas engine, oil filter on the right side.

I have an online manual but it shows the 200 plus torque on the crank pulley and I am skeptical about that one.

What size is the "bolt" that holds the crank pulley? You can look up torque specs for general bolts online. I'm sure you know this trick, but you can block the flywheel with a large screwdriver braced against the ground/frame, etc so you can torque it without turning the motor.

"Making sure pulley alignment marks are aligned, torque pulley retaining cap-screw to a torque of 280-300 ft/lbs" is what I have.

I dont know the size, I had a mishap checking the timing of the tractor. So I just retightened the bolt a little. I will search online about bolt size and torque.

I have a online manual that says the same thing, but the picture it references about the pulley timing marks does not look the same. And this information is under for 4 cylinder engines.

I dont want to tighten it to that torque because the picture it shows, does not resemble the front of the MF 135.

This post here is to clarify as to what happened and why I need help.

I was checking the timing on the MF 135 and I evidently had left the ratchet and socket on the crank pulley. I went to crank the engine over after checking to make sure I had removed the ratched, and well I inadvertently broke the crank bolt loose, trying to bring the engine over to the timing marks on the flywheel. Well, after learning I had broke the bolt loose, I tightened it enough to where the engine spins over.

I am assuming the crank pulley does not need to be touched because the timing marks are on the flywheel and that the pulley and or gear are keyed on? Is there any reason I need to check the crank shaft pulley and for what? I dont think it needs checked because the timing is on the gears behind the timing cover and the timing degrees for the ignition are on the flywheel. The picture I posted earlier must be for the other MF models?? Again that is why i dont want to torque it to specs for another engine hence the pulley timing marks it refers to in the same sentence as 280-300 lbs. that this MF 135 does not have.
