I came across a almost new Shibaura compact tractor with loader.
I just dont know what it is worth. I couldn't find any thing on-line.
It is a 2 cyl. disel.

I believe that is a smaller brand Japanese model that has no or limited current support in the USA. Shibaura used to make some Ford and NH tractors so perhaps there is a supply chain via that route. There are undoubtedly some ways to get parts but the fact that you cannot find any info on line should tell you a lot about the challenges you may face getting parts and support.

That said, I'd imagine a 2 cylinder diesel tractor is 12-18hp and with a loader in good working condition would be worth about $5000-7000. The price I'd pay reflects the difficulties I'd anticipate getting parts and service. You should be pretty handy with a wrench and familiar with diesels and hydraulics to take on something like this. Could be a good little tractor at a bargain price if you can manage the maintenance and get parts. If the tractor had a name like Kubota you could easily double that value.

Thank you ISLANDTRACTOR for responding. What I ment was that I couldn't find any prices of any Shibaura tractors bought, sold or being sold. I did check on getting parts though, that was a good idea, thank you. I found quite a few places for that.

I found a couple of websites with used Shibaura tractors but you did not post a model number so it is hard to compare pricing. Seems like they start in the range I suggested but it would help to find a model number or at least a horsepower and age. You might also check the ebay finished auctions. There are a number of tractor auction sites and used dealers who would list these too. I'd take off about 20% at least from what the dealers are asking. You mentioned that there were few hours on the tractor...that can actually be a concern as it raises worries about seals and gaskets that have dried out or damage done by improper storage with fuel etc or even rodent damage. Just make sure it actually runs and that all the features work or that additional discounts are given for things that don't work. Remember too that you'll be needing to transport the machine and paying someone 60-80 bucks and hour to troubleshoot the thing if something doesn't work unless you can fix it yourself.

I do not know the whole model #. I know it has 2200 in it. I was wondering if you still have the websites that you found prices on, maybe I can match pictures. Just as a referance. Thanks again.
