Need help with a reasonable offer for a 2006 JD model 102

I was looking to upgrade my 20 year old MTD and someone nearby was selling a 2006 JD model 102 with a bagger (I think this was a Lowes special). I am outside of Baltimore, so things aren't super cheap, but I am not sure what to expect as a reasonable resale for it. It has a little rust on the deck, but is fine otherwise. No major work has needed to be done and it comes with the bagger and the front weights for towing. It looks like when new it would have cost $1400 plus the bagger (guessing another $200 or so). What do you guys think is a reasonable value for it? Thanks.

It looks like Tractor house has them priced around $990. Seems a bit high, as that is a very light duty unit.
