Sprayer need help with a sprayer I am building !!

the question is about the pressure regulator. I have just tested the sprayer for the first time and the pressure changes with the pto speed. I thought the regulator would provide the same pressure regardless of pto speed as long as it had enough flow. the presuure is adjustable and i have the bypass hose cconnected. fluid flows throught the bypass hose as it should? Please give any thoughts or experiences.

It appears to spray just fine other than the pressure change.

Sounds normal to me...

Why are changing the PTO speed? It should be ran at 540 RPM, then set the pressure.

With the hst i dont need to run the pto at 540 to get all the flow at 30-40 psi I need. Just seemed strange the pressure would change. Guess its normal. Never used a sprayer with a pto pump before-- always electric-- no pressure regulator.

Great timing. I just bought a home built boom sprayer. I plan to build new frame work out of steel tubing. Components I have are a pto 7-3110 Delvan pump, a Delvan select - o spray control with a filter and pressure gauge. What pressure are you running and do you have a seperate control for this ? I have no experience with sprayers but for the fifty dollars involved I seem to have most of the expensive parts. This sprayer was constructed with a 55 gallon plastic drum which should be adequate for my application. Keep us informed on the progress.
