Need Help with BX-24

I recently bought a used BX-24 from a private party. This tractor was never stored inside. The owner did not have a mower for it and he never used the three point hitch. The problem I have is the the three point hitch lowering speed knob and the cutting height control knob do not turn. Did anyone ever have this problem? How does one get them freed up? Once the knobs go through the bonnet you can't get at them from underneath. Any suggestions will help.

This product has saved my bacon more times than I can count. Spray liberally with wand. Try to soak all threads and allow to soak overnight. Don't be shy about it applying it to all fittings, threads, sockets, levers, everything.

It needs to work awhile. Don't rush and don't break anything!
It sounds like sitting out in the weather has not been kind to it.

you also need to have the height in the up position to adjust them.. atleast on my BX-2350 you do... so you would need to raise the 3 pt and the mid mount up, then the height adjustment should move....... goodluck!
