Need help with correct value for a JD 5310

Hello,
I need your help with a price listed by a private seller for the following unit:
1999 JD 5310 w/ 541 FEL
Complete factory cab with AIR
standard 9/3 tranny
1004 hours - tractor is in excellent shape, well maintained and lightly used. AMS oil all its life

Asking price is $29,000
My research seems to indicate that the price may be high, but I cannot get a read due to the comparables are all in other sates found on the internet.


What do you think?

If it has MFWD, the price may be about right or slightly high. If 2wd, too high.

Yes, I did leave out that important part...

It does have MFWD. Additionally, it just has the two hydraulics in the rear, cuurently running the loader.

You are probably a little high but we don't know where you live and that has a large factor. The 5X10's cab's aren't very desirable and most people are now looking for the PowerReverser transmission and most people who are looking for cabs in that series want the 54's and 55's. Average wholesale in the SE is right at 23K for that machine, I would ask $27,900.00 and see what happens.

It has serial number LV53105132282

Does anyone have the ability to run that number for service history? I am told this is a one owner unit.

One previous owner, replace that "5" with an "S" after the LV5310 and that is the proper serial number. It does have like six warranty claims though they were all rejected by Deere so there is no way to tell what they were for...kind of weird that they were all rejected by Deere. You might want to check into that...

Technically "one" previous owner BUT it looks like it spent the first year and a half as a dealer owned rental unit, then was sold as a used unit to the owner of record.
