I have a Ford 555C 4x4 Backhoe with a 256 Turbocharged diesel that is having oil pressure issues so I want to drop the oil pan so I can inspect the rods and bearings. I have the front axle out, have big support bolts out, all pan bolts are out except the two in the very front of the pan. I have two questions:
1. Even if I remove the two remaining bolts from the front of the pan, I don't see how the pan will drop out at all. Do I need to pull the front of the tractor apart?
2. Is the block and internal parts (pistons, rods, bearings, etc.) the same as Non 256 turbocharged engines?
