Oil & Fuel Need help with injector pump on MF 150

I just bought a non running tractor that I'm trying to diagnose and get her back to life. It is a 1967 model 150 diesel, with a freeman loader. Was told it ran when parked due to loader cylinder breaking.

For starters I will tell you what has been done. Took off loader for now to get tractor running, put on a New battery, new fuel lift pump, new filters, like new rebuilt starter, and just had injector pump rebuilt. All fluids checked, motor turns over great and to try and help prime the pump I have used starting fluid which cranks up but can not seem to get the pump to take over...have a small fuel line leak , so we plan to seal that up tomorrow, but would like some help figuring this thing out...I have a neighbor friend who is an avid diesel mechanic, but he has not worked on this model tractor before, so this is why I'm coming to you guys, I need some help! Was complete fuel system bled of air starting at fuel tank, then filters, injection pump finally to injectors? Any trapped air at all in system CAV DPA pump will not work. Also make sure filter inlet top outer groove is open, not plugged with an O ring, have made service calls to find this done before on NAPA 3166 filters if used. Does not apply to original CAV 296 or 796 filter as flow is different. If you like call 574 893 4172 after 7 PM IN time, my E-mail does not work well, be glad to help if you have any questions.

Thanks dtech I have seen u comment on several posts that I have read and hoped you would chime in to help me too! So is there a bleeding procedure I should follow, I know the order from what u said, but I'm not sure how to bleed the tank line, and I'm not sure what filter I have so I will def check that, I rem u saying that in another post and I meant to check it, also what should I look for when using the manual thumb pump to bleed at the pump? Thanks again I really want this thing to run!

Start bleeding at top of filter base, some have a bleed screw that needs 9/16 wrench, with screw loose operate feed pump hand lever until air bubbles stop coming out with fuel at screw, then retighten screw. If you have 2 filters bleed first one just after feed pump, then 2nd filter same way, then bleed injection pump. Most important is 5/16 bleed screw next to pump tag, is lower of 2 screws on pump. Loosten, work hand primer again until all air is out and fuel is clear. Then bleed top cover screw. Last loosten all injector line nuts at injector, fuel stop on, throttle 1/3, crank engine as trying to start up to 30 seconds at a time until you see fuel at injectors. May need to repete 3 or 4 times letting starter cool awhile between cranking times. When fuel is at injectors tighten line nuts and start engine. If you still have trouble call 574 893 4172 after 7 PM best time. Check OP manual too if possible, should show bleed points if you are unsure what to loosten.

Thanks for you guidance got her going! My pump re-builder had forgot to put the blades back in the pump when he rebuilt it, fortunately he's my neighbor and was able to take it back off and fix it right away, and then we just bled it out and she fired right up, not a lick of smoke, runs good! I'm a happy camper...Now I need to top off my hydraulic fluid and I should be up and running. What is the best hydraulic fluid for these? Also I have ordered the manual, but don't have it yet, so Im trying to locate all the proper dipsticks and fill locations. Any help on this would be appreciated!
