The grapple function stopped working correctly. I have 2 of the same tractors and have compared them. One is working fine. The solenoid on the valve that controls the selector valve is functioning, but the non working grapple will open but not close. The bucket will dump when the grapple should be closing. I switched the hoses to confirm there was not a problem in the lock valve. The grapple would then close and not open. I pulled the selector spool out and confirmed there was no obstruction or anything plugging its passages. Is it common for the valve to malfunction in this way? Does it require replacement of the valve? Or am I missing something?

Might be a hydraulic end for what you have stated.

if it was a quick coupler, shouldn't the function stall in that direction when i have energized the solenoid? it doesn't, dumps the bucket as it normally would with the solenoid energised, yet when I curl the bucket, it stalls the function on grapple open. I disconnected the quick couplers on the detachable bucket and switched them, the problem reversed. I think my couplers are fine
