need help with priming injectorson my 186

I believe I ran it out of fuel the other day while working on a grade. I bogged it down and it quit running. I don't have a service manual and this is my first diesel so I know I am in a bit of trouble. I could use some help with getting it going again. I am not sure where to start. I would love to get a copy of the owners manual and service manual for a 186D
If someone can point me in the right direction.

Fill your tank, follow the fuel line to the filter housing. Bleed air / fuel at the two 10mm bolts with phillips screw slots, one at a time. Then follow the fuel line from the bowl to the injection pump, forward. there will be another 10mm bolt with phillips slot. bleed there. Spin over with compression release out ,try to start. repeat until it starts. DON'T let the starter get hot. If it doesn't start , start at the begining and repeat. Bleeding at the injectors would be last resort.

kayssupply is right on. I have never had to bleed my 186D at the injectors if it simply ran out of fuel. Since the 186 is a US model tractor, manuals are available that are specific to it. I got my service manual from a local Yanmar dealer. It is great despite the crappy picture resolution. I picked up the owners and parts manual by watching ebay and searching for "yanmar".
Don't worry, it's not really trouble, just messy. It might even be fun if you don't mind diesel running down your arms. I'll be happy to help with anything if you have further questions.

Thanks for the help I did get it running after a few bleading cycles. However it still seems to be bogging down at low throttle like it is running out of fuel. I noticed the fuel filter is pretty dirty could that be my problem? Am I starving it for fuel? I have a couple other questions as well. I have not owned the tractor very long and am ready to change the fluids.

What oil weight to use and capacity does the crankcase hold?

Fuse positions L to R what do they control I have one that is blown.

According to the 186/186d manual...
Capacities:
Cooling.......1.1 gal (50-50 antifreeze max)
Oil & filter....3.4 qts (15w-40 diesel grade, Rotella, delo, etc.)
Trans..........2.1 gal (JD 303 equiv)
Front axle....3.2 qts (90 wt gear oil)

Book says that fuse positions are marked on the back of the fuse box cover (if you have one!)

left to right, the fuse positions are as follows:
indicator cluster - 5A
flashing/warning lights - 10A
horn and front PTO - 10A
headlights and worklight - 15A
my fuse block cover is missing, so I don't know if they are labeled there or not.
The fuel filter probably needs changing if you can see dirt on it. I think Wix 33263 is the right part number for it. Even if water coats the surface of the filter, it can affect its performance.
Could your problem be that the friction disk on the throttle is not tightened down enough, allowing the spring to move it back toward the engine stop position? I have encountered that problem on mine before.

I believe the fuel filter is a Wix 33262, or NAPA 3262. And YES you should change it. Take the bowl off and clean the inside with a clean rag.
