Need help with PTO Clutch

We have the MF 240 and had to install a clutch.

Before the new clutch we cluld not shift the gears with the tractor running. PTO worked OK.

Now, with the new clutch, the gears work just fine but we cannot turn the PTO on with the tractor running?

Any help would be appreciated.
