Hi, let me take the honor to welcome you. (be aware you'll get hooked before you know)
I dont know your background so i might be underestimating your skills.
Going from your description I can already see the story....
Owner pushes the tx too far, overheats the engine and burns the clutch, now sells the tractor.
A TX is a conventional system, so gears all around. The fluid can be 2 things but in this case i dont see how it can be something else than the cooling liquid.
(other would be hydraulics)
A diesel engine cutting out when heating up is loss of compression in other words shot engine. No way to say if that would be a rebuild or scrap based on this info only.
Whole other question for you to decide if you would venture into a rebuild. (simpel one or extensive)
The burnt clutch is not that difficult as far as splitting the tractor and replacing the clutch is easy for a home-owner. (i mean to say: do you have the tools and do you have enough mechanical "baggage" to take a job like this)
I would be very careful with this tractor knowing these 2 problems. If you are sure you can make the repairs by yourself then maybe ask for a quote to have the work done by a service dealer and use it as a negotiating argument.
Without a decent diagnose they can mean a real money pittfall which could buy you a much better (younger or bigger) tractor without the worries.
If it was me I would need to have solid reasons (eg as parts donor) to take a tractor with these symptons for FREE.
