need id help on old 16g? SS bolt shotgun

Conversions of the 98 Mauser are fairly common. Here is an article. I've never seen a 71 Mauser conversion before.

GEHA: A little-known....

I probably wouldn't consider shooting it. The chamber may be shorter than standard. On the 98's the bolt head is often missing.

it looks to have seen some use.. plenty in fact.

i have seent he 98 conversions into many things as well.

looking at the 71's i was thinking for a moment.. wow.. an old 1mm rifle that could be worth 500-3000$ and someone cut it for a shotgun.. but then.. this may have been done way back when this was a cheap throw away gun...

the geha looks interesting..
quick check shows this has a 2 3/4" chamber.. but that could have been a ream job from 2 9/16
